When it comes to natural attractions, Chiang Rai, one of the places to visit in Thailand, holds a vast variety of attractions for tourists to choose from. But if we’re talking about the busy nightlife most travelers enjoy in other Thailand attractions, the city may not offer as much but there are still a number of Chiang Rai destinations to go to where you can cap off the night with a drink in hand. Know about these places as we feature them in today’s Chiang Rai travel blog!
Unlike the usual flashy bars and pubs, the nightlife experience you can enjoy during your Thailand holiday in Chiang Rai is quiet, peaceful and relaxing one. Choose among the featured Chiang Rai destinations below and discover what it’s like when the sun sets at Chiang Rai!
Chiang Rai Night Bazaar
Night bazaars in this city are very popular and are often featured in different Chiang Rai travel blogs. Let’s start off today’s Thailand travel blog with Chiang Rai Night Bazaar!
The vendors at the famous Chiang Rai night bazaar start setting up their stalls once the sun sets but the place gets busy around 7pm. Here you can find a variety of souvenirs like T-shirts, sneakers, embroidered bags, jewelry, scarves, bedspreads, wallets and many more. There are also beautiful handicrafts sold here. Don’t forget to negotiate before you buy anything as vendors tend to overprice their offers.
Kaffee Hub is a loft-inspired café by day and a cozy cocktail lounge at night. During the day, it offers an expansive variety of local Thai food and some classic international cuisine. Situated inside a historic building, the first floor of this Chiang Rai attraction has low tables and teakwood chairs while the second floor, where the bar area is located, has a terrace where you can enjoy the cool breeze at night while sipping a drink.
Easy House is part of a guest house with the same name that offers a fusion of western and Thai, serving local Thai favorites and some western dishes. The quiet, dim lit bar gives off a homey feel – something different from its neighbors. For entertainment, you can enjoy a cable TV with programs and movies or you can play darts or listen to music!
Situated in Punyodyana Lane, Lamyai Bar is designed with a simple set-up with wooden tables outside. Unlike other featured bars, Lamyai Bar’s menu doesn’t offer much when it comes to food aside for a few snacks as its main selling point are the reasonably-priced beers. People come here to simply drink, chill and watch a broadcast of live sports or international news. There’s also free Wi-Fi for guests who want to stay connected at all times!
The last featured place for our Chiang Rai travel blog is Coconut’s Bar. If you’re looking for a place to have drinks with friends, meet new people and enjoy good food, head over to Coconut’s Bar – a bar that is also open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its menu mostly covers English cuisine but it also serves some international dishes. The laid-back vibe, aside from its extensive drinks list is what people come here for.
